01 / The bigger picture
Skills teach your assistant a craft. MCP connects it to tools. They complement each other, but they are not the same thing.
Turn a loose brief into a script, shot list and visual language with reusable filmmaking skills.

Choose where you work. Add POPCORN’s server URL, sign in with your POPCORN account and click Allow. No API key needed.
Never paste passwords or API keys into a chat. Review permissions and costs before you allow any tool to act.

In Claude, open Customize → Connectors, click +, then Add custom connector.
Paste the POPCORN server URL and click Add. Leave OAuth client ID and OAuth client secret empty. If Claude asks how to sign in, choose Sign in now.
Click Connect, sign in to POPCORN if asked, then click Allow. To use it in a chat, turn POPCORN on from + → Connectors.
On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner adds the connector first in Organization settings → Connectors. Members then find it in Customize → Connectors and click Connect.
Custom connectors work on every Claude plan. The Free plan can add one custom connector.

03 / What your agent can do
Once connected, your assistant works in your POPCORN account. It plans the shot, gets an exact quote and creates only after it confirms that quote.
A reusable still of your product or object.
A character still from a written brief, or a new pose of a Star you already own.
An empty location from a prompt. A second step places one of your Stars in it.
A short video from a written prompt, with Seedance 2.5 by default, or Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Fast, Seedance 2.0 Mini or Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash.
Your assistant picks the right studio. Planning is free.
It gets an exact Kernel quote. Nothing is charged, and an unused quote expires after 10 minutes.
Kernels are charged only when your assistant confirms the quote, and the same quote can never be charged twice.
Your assistant follows the progress and shows the result in your chat when it is ready.
Voice and spoken Arabic, Lip Sync, Dialect, Storyboard, Photo Shoot, Canvas, Video Remix, a Star from a photo and imports from a page or video link stay in the website studios. You can still write your prompts in Arabic.
04 / Build your creative toolkit
Nine practical skills, curated for the way filmmakers work. Download a skill, add it to your assistant, and try an example with your own brief.
Develop an idea into a story outline, character arc, scenes and dialogue. Refine the structure with focused rewrite passes.
Use screenwriting to outline a short film about a daughter reopening her father’s workshop. Give me a logline, five story beats and the opening scene.
Break a scene into numbered shots with framing, movement, action, dialogue, estimated timing and reference needs.
Use script-to-shotlist on this workshop scene. Return a shot table with camera movement, dialogue, estimated duration and the references needed for each shot.
Write clear shot instructions covering subject, setting, visible action, camera, light and sound. Spot conflicting directions before generation.
Use ai-video-prompt-fundamentals to improve this shot: a potter opens the workshop at dawn. Keep one camera move and describe the action, lighting and ambient sound.
Build a continuity guide for faces, wardrobe, props, locations and voices. Keep reference names and descriptions consistent across shots.
Use character-consistency to make a continuity guide from these character references. Lock the face, blue work jacket and silver ring, and track changes by scene.
Shape the look of a scene through lens choice, composition, camera movement, light direction and a consistent colour palette.
Use cinematography-lighting to design a quiet workshop scene at dawn. Suggest framing, a motivated light source and a three-colour palette, then write one reusable look description.
Review takes for story intent, continuity, movement, text, sound and visual flaws. Prioritise practical fixes with a clear review report.
Use ai-video-quality-control to compare these two takes. Note visible continuity errors and timestamps, explain which take serves the scene better, and suggest the smallest fixes.
Clip review depends on the media your client can inspect. If it cannot read video, provide frames, timestamps and a description of the sound.
Prepare structured video prompts with clear reference mapping, action beats, camera direction and continuity notes for a Seedance workflow.
Use seedance-video to prepare a prompt for my selected Seedance model. Image 1 is the potter and Image 2 is the workshop. Show the door opening, then a close-up of the clay. Check supported timing first.
Check model availability and supported settings in your client and provider. Optional API examples in the download are not MCP connection requirements.
Plan image briefs for storyboards, posters, keyframes and precise edits. Specify composition, text placement and what must stay unchanged.
Use gpt-image to write an edit brief for this workshop frame. Change only the jacket to navy blue; preserve the face, pose, light and background.
Check model availability and supported settings in your client and provider. Optional API examples in the download are not MCP connection requirements.
Prepare character dialogue with speaker labels, delivery notes, pacing and consistent voice choices across scenes.
Use elevenlabs-voice-music to prepare this two-character dialogue for ElevenLabs. Keep each line assigned to its speaker, suggest restrained delivery, and use only voices I am authorised to use.
This page focuses on dialogue. The download also contains music and sound-effects material. Check voice and model support with your provider; optional API examples are not MCP prerequisites.
Use your new skills
Open Customize → Skills → + → Create skill → Upload a skill and add the ZIP. Enable it, then ask Claude to use it. If unavailable, check Code execution and file creation and your organization’s policy.
Claude skill guide (opens in a new tab)Extract the skill folder into your project’s .agents/skills directory, keeping SKILL.md and its supporting files together. Ask Codex to use the skill by name.
.agents/skills/screenwriting/SKILL.mdCodex skill guide (opens in a new tab)Skill files are supplied in English; examples on this page are available in both languages. Read the files before enabling them. Some include optional scripts or provider-specific examples; downloading them does not install or run anything. Source and license notes
05 / Put it into practice
Shape a café’s launch brief into a six-shot story, then write a keyframe brief for each shot.
Screenwriting + shot list + image directionDefine a character’s visual anchors, build three scene briefs, and review where continuity might break.
Character continuity + video prompts + reviewWrite a short dialogue with emotional beats, pronunciation notes and room for a natural pause.
Screenwriting + voice directionGood to know
Yes. Choose your app in the setup section, add the server URL, sign in with your POPCORN account and click Allow.
No. You sign in with your POPCORN account and click Allow once. Never paste a password or key into a chat.
Every charge needs an exact quote first, and each quote can be charged only once. Set a daily or per-project Kernel limit. Every charge must fit under it, and raising a limit is a separate step that is never combined with a render.
Remove POPCORN from that app’s connectors or MCP servers. You can add it again at any time.
A skill provides instructions and a workflow. It does not itself provide a model, subscription or generation credits. Generating media needs a tool that can create it.
Yes. The skills work with Arabic briefs: use the Arabic examples and name the language or dialect you want in the writing. Through the POPCORN connection, you can write your prompts in Arabic; voice and spoken Arabic are made in the website studios.
Not necessarily. Model access, reference limits and API behavior vary by provider and can change. Check the tool available to your account before using a model-specific recipe.
